What should I feed my dog…??
Well look at it this way, have you heard the expression you are what you eat? That's the case with dogs as well. Nutritional value, good gut health, and overall wellness are the main things to take in consideration when deciding what to feed your dog. But the problem is there are a zillion dog foods on the market with great advertising and marketing campaigns, which makes it very difficult to choose a food. So what are you looking for in a dog food? You should be looking for and researching foods that are going to promote the overall wellness of your dog. A food that your dog can eat consistently while maintaing a healthy weight, good energy level, good looking coat, and consistent stools. Dogs do not do well with constant changes in diet. Their digestive systems cannot handle a lot of change. Studies show that 70-80% of the immune system originates iin the gut, which is key to overall health. So a good food is going to provide a diet that provides the right support for a healthy digestive function. Ingredients such as quinoa, pumpkin, sea kelp, vegetables, and other superfood ingredients have proven to provide this. Chicken, duck, and salmon are excellent sources of protien that you should look for in a food. Research is key and definetly worth while since you’ll be feeding you dog for a long time during what will hopefully be a long and healthy life.
